How Hair Transplatation Operation Is Done
A successful FUE hair transplant requires meticulous planning and the application of appropriate techniques. Understanding the essential steps involved can ensure optimal outcomes for the patients.
In preparation for the procedure, the patient’s frontal hairline and the designated area for graft placement are carefully outlined and planned, with the new hairline visualized using a mirror. Subsequently, our medical staff shaves the hair in the specified region.
Following this, local anesthesia is administered to ensure the patient’s comfort throughout the process. The duration of an FUE hair transplantation typically ranges from 3 to 6 hours, varying based on the quantity of grafts being transplanted.
Short breaks are incorporated as needed during the procedure, allowing the patient to relax and engage in activities such as watching television or listening to music for added comfort and distraction.
An FUE hair transplant consists of four stages
02/
Counting of grafts
The harvested grafts from the patient’s donor area are carefully sorted into triple, double, and single grafts. During this stage, the patient can take a brief break to attend to personal needs like eating or using the restroom before the transplantation resumes.
03/
Micro Channel Incision
After preparing the grafts, channels are carefully created in the recipient area. These channels are tailored to match the thickness and length of the harvested hair roots. Precision is key, as the angle, frequency, and depth of these channels determine the natural appearance post-transplantation. Special care is taken to protect existing hair follicles, especially considering the natural angle of hair growth, typically around 20 to 50 degrees for hairline hairs.
04/
Graft placement
Positioning the collected grafts in alignment with the channels is crucial, ensuring they face upwards relative to the outer surface for optimal growth. Given the delicate nature of grafts, micro-surgical techniques are employed to handle them with utmost care. It’s important to note that the new hair follicles resulting from the FUE technique are entirely permanent. Performing FUE requires precision and expertise, making experience a vital factor in achieving successful outcomes. Only trained physicians and specialists should undertake this procedure due to its sensitivity and seriousness.
